OVERVIEW

Within the School, we strive to deliver excellence in teaching, research and scholarship, designed to address today’s global challenges. We offer online and distance learning degrees in Environmental Science, Geography and Environmental Science, and Natural Science (specialising in Earth or Environmental Science), all of which can be studied at a flexible pace. Our Environmental Science degree is accredited by the Institution of Environmental Sciences (IES) and the Chartered Institution of Waste and Environmental Management (CIWEM). All our degrees develop core employability skills. Our teaching is directly informed by our research and scholarship, and we use innovative and agile technologies to deliver world-class education without restrictions. Throughout, we strive to promote a scientifically literate society that is better informed by Earth and environmental issues at local to global scales. We also offer a range of high-precision analytical and geochemical services; for further details contact STEM-EEES-enquiries@open.ac.uk
