RSK Geosciences is a leading UK site investigation, contaminated land and geotechnical consultancy. We have more than 35 years of experience of design, implementation and interpretative reporting along expert witness services. We help our clients to realise opportunities and manage the potential liabilities associated with the acquisition, ownership, operation, development and divestiture of land. We work for both the public and private sectors, including many of the UK’s leading property developers, major and local house builders, utility providers, main contractors, local authorities and other government organisations. We have more than 320 professional staff based across the UK, who undertake site investigations, geoenvironmental, waste and geotechnical assessments, and geophysical and topographical surveys. Our network of 19 UK offices enables a responsive turnaround to enquiries, quick mobilisation and the breadth of experience to provide practicable, sustainable solutions in all areas of contaminated land and geotechnical assessments; including qualitative and quantitative risk assessment for soils, gases and waters; remediation design costing and verification; geotechnical assessment and design of foundations, ground improvement, piling, retaining walls, slopes and basements; and environmental consultancy including as sustainable soils solutions (CL:AIRE MMP’s), surface water management (silt) plans, environmental permitting and monitoring, and nutrient neutrality advice. In addition, we act as expert witness across all of our services.

Fellows provides specialist UXO risk management to support ground investigation and geotechnical operations, including drilling, CPT, piling and borehole works. Services range from preliminary and detailed desk studies, risk assessments and peer review, through to non-intrusive surveys and on-site support during intrusive works. We work alongside drillers and ground engineers to identify and manage UXO risk in real time — reducing stoppages, avoiding unnecessary escalation, and keeping rigs operating safely and efficiently. We are quick to mobilise, easy to reach, and responsive when it matters — providing engineer-attended support, watching briefs, UXO awareness briefings and Emergency Response Planning (ERP) to keep programmes moving safely. Our approach is practical and proportionate, ensuring UXO risk is managed effectively without impacting programme or productivity.
